The Swahili corpus contains books and newspaper articles written in Standard Swahili. The corpus was prepared at the University of Helsinki, Department of Asian and African Studies under auspices of Prof. Arvi Hurskainen.

The Swahili corpus contains a database of Swahili dialects. The database consists of interviews in various dialects, as well as of books and newspaper articles written in Standard Swahili.

The purpose of the resource use must be outlined in a research plan.
