The underlying lexical pool of the Lithuanian language in the Lithuanian – Hungarian Dictionary draws on the Dictionary of the Contemporary Lithuanian Language, using the majority of words and all of the illustrative examples contained in it. That was the nucleus that has been later augmented with data from the Dictionary of Frequencies of the Lithuanian Language as well as better than a thousand informatics terms, vulgarisms, slang and other terms, the most popular Lithuanian names and the most noteworthy geographical tags.

Lietuvių-vengrų žodyno pagrindinio lietuvių kalbos žodyninio fondo duomenų bazė – Dabartinės lietuvių kalbos žodynas, jame pateiktų žodžių dauguma, bet ir visais iliustraciniais pavyzdžiais. Tai buvo tas branduolys, kuris vėliau buvo papildytas „Lietuvių kalbos dažnumų žodyno“ duomenimis, taip pat įtraukta daugiau nei tūkstantis informatikos terminų, vulgarizmų, slengo ir kitų pasakymų, įdėti populiariausi lietuvių vardai ir svarbiausi geografiniai vardai.
