The PELCRA language detector is a Java tool for detecting the language of an arbitrary stretch of text developed by the PELCRA team at the University of Łódź, available under the GPL licence. The first version of this tool contains a model for distinguishing between Polish and English. The language detector uses naive Bayes classifier for language detection. The API of the application makes it possible to provide training data for the developments of detectors of other languages.
