TREFL is a portable, multifunctional database management application for Windows, having the combined characteristics of both a Translation Memory System (bilingual databases, fuzzy matching, concordance, alignment, importing and exporting translation memories, etc.) and those of an Internet/Desktop Search Engine (searching, like with Google search, all these words, this exact phrase, I’m feeling Lucky, etc.), plus some elements of semantic search. It is intended to be used as a simple, versatile, portable, effective and customizable reading, writing and translation aid tool capable of managing very large databases.
